Chapter Logistical Director
Rudy Diaz currently serves as Vice President of Information Technology for BendPak, Inc., the world’s premier provider of automotive lifts, and is accountable for the company's enterprise IT architecture, technology strategy, and IT services. Mr. Diaz has held this position since 2011. Prior to joining BendPak, Inc., Mr. Diaz held senior IT leadership positions, including Director of Information Technology for Am-Pac Tire Distributors/Tire Pros in Simi Valley, CA and Director of Project Management Office-Information Technology for American Tire Distributors (ATD) in Huntersville, North Carolina. Mr. Diaz began his IT career in 1992 and has more than 20 years of experience in IT and Security. In addition, he holds several certifications from ISACA, PMI and GIAC, including CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, CISM, PMP, GLEG and GCPM.
Sam Horowitz is the Director of Information Security and the Chief Information Security Officer for the University of California Santa Barbara. Mr. Horowitz directs a program that includes all aspects of logical and physical information security for an R1 university with more than 22,000 students and more than 6000 staff and faculty. Mr. Horowitz has more than 20 years of Information Security experience and holds CISSP, ISSAP, and CISM certifications. Prior to joining UC Santa Barbara, Mr. Horowitz was worldwide Director of Threat, Vulnerability, and Incident Management for Hewlett-Packard
Ingrid Lohneiss is a Sr. IT Consultant with CJSeto Support Services, LLC, and is currently contracted with the Navy where she fulfills the role of Sr. IT Project Manager for the Information Assurance group. Ms. Lohneiss has over 22 years experience in Information Security, working previously for Tata Consultancy
Services, Gartner and DST Systems, Inc. Ms. Lohneiss is a long-standing member of both ISSA and ISACA and holds CISM, CISSP and CRISC certifications. Also, she has previously held the positions of Secretary, Vice-President and President of two user groups sponsored by CA Technologies, Inc. spanning over 15 years.
Chapter Vice President
Arthur got his start in IT when his father bought him a ZX80 Sinclair. Arthur was immediately hooked and has been involved with computers ever since. In 1999 he graduated from Cal Lutheran University with a MBA in Information Technology. In 2008 he became a Volunteer Deputy with the Ventura County Sheriff’s department. Being exposed to both law enforcement and IT Security gives Arthur a deep appreciation for those that protect and defend our lives and our computer systems. Currently, he is the Principal Security Consultant with MBSG in Westlake Village, CA. He is also a Adjunct Professor at Cal Lutheran University's MBA program.
Stephen A. Maiorca is the Senior Information Security Engineer for the law firm of Munger, Tolles & Olson, LLP. He brings a balanced approach to securing the business by securing the workforce without strangling its ability to function. Combining nearly 18 years of skills in the IT and Information Security fields, he uses his experience to help fuse people, process and technology into a solid security program which is able to adapt and adjust to ever-changing business conditions. Prior to joining Munger Tolles, Stephen worked for 4 and a half years as a Security Administrator and Senior Information Assurance Engineer for the US Naval Facilities Engineering command, and in the private sector in jobs ranging from help desk, desktop and server technicians to leadership roles in the business continuity, enterprise IT and information security fields. He received his B.A. in Liberal Arts from Pepperdine University, and his M.S in Information Assurance from Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont.
